Arrival in Tbilisi. Meet and greet with the driver at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Tbilisi Tbilisi (literally “warm spring”) is the capital and largest city of Georgia, located on the banks of the Mtkvari River. Founded in the 5th century by King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the city’s rich history is reflected in its diverse architecture. Places to visit: • Old Town: Metekhi Church and the monument to King Vakhtang Gorgasali (founder of Tbilisi, 5th century) • Abanotubani – the ancient district famous for its sulfur baths • Narikala Fortress – an ancient fortress overlooking Tbilisi • Sharden Street – a lively modern street with cafés and restaurants • “Mother of Georgia” statue • Bridge of Peace – a modern pedestrian bridge designed by an Italian architect (2010) • Sameba Cathedral (Holy Trinity Cathedral) Drive along Shota Rustaveli Avenue, the main street of Tbilisi, and Freedom Square.
Ananuri Visit the Ananuri Fortress Complex (17th century), located on the Aragvi River. Continue towards Gudauri along the historic Georgian Military Highway. Gudauri Gudauri is a popular mountain resort situated at 2,000 meters above sea level on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Drive to Kazbegi, crossing the Cross Pass (Jvari Pass) at 2,385 meters above sea level. Enjoy scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Gergeti Trinity Church Transfer to 4x4 vehicles for the ascent to Gergeti Trinity Church, an outstanding monument of Georgian architecture located near the village of Gergeti at 2,170 meters, at the foot of Mount Kazbek (5,033 m). Return to Tbilisi.
Drive to the eastern part of Georgia — the Kakheti region, famous for its vineyards and winemaking traditions. Sighnaghi Sighnaghi is one of the most beautiful towns in Kakheti. Rich in historical and cultural heritage, the town is surrounded by well-preserved 18th-century fortress walls. Situated at an altitude of around 790 meters above sea level, it offers stunning views of the Alazani Valley and the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Bodbe Monastery Bodbe Monastery is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex, originally built in the 9th century and later significantly reconstructed, especially in the 17th century. Today, it functions as a nunnery and is one of the main pilgrimage sites in Georgia due to its connection with Saint Nino, the enlightener of Georgia in the 4th century. Wine tasting at a local winery.
