One of the city’s burgeoning food hotspots is the area around St Charles Avenue and the upmarket Garden District. Head there by the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and start your tour on foot. Meet our accredited guide on the corner of Prytania and Washington Street. Start sampling food tastings aplenty in the famous eatery Le Petite Bleu that many city visitors love. Le Petite Bleu, a real locals’ favorite, will provide chef’s surprises and a frozen cocktail. Then continue through the elegant homes and culture of the Garden District or a selection of traditional New Orleans Dishes and venues may change on occasion, but your route always includes one food stop that provide enough food for a meal. Peruse the wares at shops in The Rink where many goods are made by local New Orleanians. Finish your tour on a high note with pages and pages of book options and refresh your tastebuds to a contemporary southern cocktail at the lounge and New Orleans institution, Garden District Bookstore.
