Experience true sailing and an educational guided snorkel tour of the worlds third largest barrier reef, visit with and learn about Sandy & Rocky the indigenous rock iguanas, tour the beautiful half moon bay sandbar and lagoon, search the shallows for baby bonefish, turtles, barracuda, turtles, rays and sometimes flamingoes. Enjoy a relaxing swim or snorkel the patch reefs in the shallows where you fill find anemones amongst other reef fish. Sail, Snorkel the barrier reef, visit rock Iguanas and enjoy a mouth-watering beach barbecue of charcoal grilled lobster (when in season and available) or fish, chicken, ribs, burgers, local peas, rice, salad and all inclusive OPEN BAR on a beach. After lunch, relax, swim, snorkel then hoist the sails and cruise into the evening sun. Beach location may vary based on weather conditions.
Your pick up will be on the beach in front of your hotel if you are staying at one of the Grace Bay hotels. If you are staying off the Grace Bay strip your pick up will be on the beach in front of the Sibonne hotel/Bay Bistro restaurant. You must contact our office the day prior to your excursion.
Board our vessel for your sailing and snorkelling adventure and make yourself comfortable as we set out on one of the most fun adventures available in Turks & Caicos.Follow one of our experienced local guides on one of the most beautiful guided snorkel tours as we snorkel and explore the Leeward Reef, one of the healthiest living reefs in the Atlantic. You will see the usual residents like Snappers, Groupers, Sergeant majors, Trigger fish, Barracuda, Needle fish and sometimes Sharks Rays and Turtles. Leeward Reef is part of the Turks and Caicos Barrier reef network which is the third largest barrier reef system in the world. There is always a huge flow of water going through the reef, this water movement carves out a maze of valleys, tunnels, caverns and archways making it one of the most scenic reefs in the world. Only experienced snorkelers allowed to explore the tunnels.
Our guides will take you ashore and take you on a nature tour, a guided walking tour of this natural sandbar. This area which is home to a large family of Native Rock Iguanas, is surrounded by a series of sandbars resulting in a shallow lagoon area at the back. Our guides will take you for a walk along the lagoon, explain to you how the sandbar was formed and give you a bit more information about the area, history of the islands etc. During this part of the nature walk guides will point out baby turtles, baby sharks, bonefish, barracuda, mojarra and sometimes rays and flamingoes. Whilst guests take the nature tour the other crew members set up the grill and create a beach barbecued meal fit for a king. Lunch includes Lobster(when in season) barbecued and grilled Chicken, Ribs, Salad, Peas and rice, Burgers and an open bar. Beer, soft drinks and mixed drinks are included. Lunch is served island style either on the boat or barefoot on the beach.*Location may change based on weather
We do not stop at both Little Water Cay and Half Moon Bay. The location chosen is dependent on the weather. Both Islands are home to the native Rock Iguanas but Little Water Cay is where the National Trust operate their guided tours at a cost of $10 cash per person.
