Pickup details:

Take note that transfers to the lodges are included in the package. All transfers that depart from the airport (O R Tambo Airport) depart no later than 9:30am and flights should be booked accordingly. Allowance needs to be made for disembarkment and customs to meet your driver on time. Drop offs at the airport are by 5:00pm on the last day. Again, allowance needs to be made for Check in and Boarding. Please bear this in mind when booking flights. We will collect you from your Johannesburg hotel (location dependant) or O.R. Tambo Airport on the day of departure as mentioned. We would recommend booking accommodation either at the airport, (O R Tambo Airport) or in Sandton City.

    Balule Nature Reserve

    Pick up from your hotel in JHB or O.R. Tambo Airport and travel via the Highveld grasslands to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Kruger Park. Board an open Landcruiser for a 4h Sunset Drive, your first opportunity to experience the fauna and flora of Africa. Watch the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use a spotlight to view nocturnal animals. Dinner at the Marula Tree Boma will be a BUSH BBQ. After dinner, continue with your Night Drive and overnight in en suite air conditioned chalets.

    Game walk and game drive

    Balule Nature Reserve

    At sunrise we drive to the Olifants River for a 4h Bush Walk. Your rangers will show you many secrets of the bush. Adrenalin surges will be acute even if your rangers are adequately armed. Return to Tremisana for brunch. Later you may sleep in your airconditioned chalet, swim or read wildlife magazines in our Lapa. Lunch will be served at 13h30. At 15h30 we enjoy a SUNDOWNER Game Drive. Dinner and overnight at Tremisana.

    Kruger National Park

    Kruger National Park

    Drive to Kruger Park in your custom-built open-sided Gameviewer. You will view game without intervening glass windows and also listen to and smell the denizens of the bush. The Orpen- Satara-Nwanedzi region has open plains that attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope that, in turn, attract many predators. In fact, this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa.

    Moholoholo and Game Drive

    Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre

    After breakfast, we drive to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals. The animals at the centre are in enclosed pens and have been rehabilitated but are not yet able to be released into the wild as they are incapable of fending for themselves. They serve a good purpose insofar as tourists can see that the project has successfully rehabilitated an animal that was destined to otherwise die - these animals arrive at Moholoholo as the result of being orphaned, poisoned, caught in poachers’ snares etc. By visiting the centre we are supporting the important conservation work they do.

    After lunch we enjoy a 3hr game drive in Balule. Return to Tremisana for dinner and overnight.

    After breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde Canyon. We return to Gauteng in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.
