An easy hike through important historical evidence in one of the most beautiful areas of Lake Como. From the charming town of Lenno we ascent to the Sacred Mountain of Ossuccio, UNESCO heritage. Here the view is breathtaking. We walk then along a path among ancient olive trees to reach an ancient medieval tower. We access to the tower and admire the Lake and the Comacina Island.

The Sacro Monte is a peculiar place of popular devotion in the North West of Italy. We ascent to the Sanctuary on a path between 14 chapels where we admire sculptures that represent the life and passion of Christ. Step by step, the view over the lake becomes wider and wider. This medieval tower, built between XI and XII century, was part of the fortified system that included the castle of Isola Comacina. It was destroyed during the war between the town of Como and the Comacina Island in the Middle Age. Recently restored, it offers an incredible view over the island from its terrace.
