Our driver will pick you up from any location in Jaipur at your desired time to begin your journey to Agra. Our first stop is Abhaneri Stepwell, a 2-hour drive from Jaipur. From there, we'll head to Fatehpur Sikri which is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes away by car. These two destinations are must-sees for anyone transferring from Jaipur to Agra.
Our first destination was the Chand Baori Stepwell, located in Abhaneri village of Rajasthan, India. Known as one of the most picturesque stepwells in the country, it is also believed to be the oldest surviving one in Rajasthan and possibly even all of India.
Our next stop after Abhaneri is Fatehpur Sikri, a charming city in northern India that was founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. This small city boasts red sandstone buildings clustered at its center, with the impressive Buland Darwaza gate serving as the entrance to Jama Masjid mosque. A must-see nearby is the beautiful marble Tomb of Salim Chishti, while Diwan-E-Khas hall features an intricately carved central pillar. The Jodha Bais Palace stands out for its fusion of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles, situated right next to the stunning 5-story Panch Mahal which offers breathtaking views of the entire site.
