Big mountain views, cool glacial waters, forests, valleys and wildlife: all from the perspective of the river. Great for all ages and perfect for first time rafters, Canmore Raft Tours offers two family friendly river floats leaving right from downtown Canmore. The 1.5hr (round trip) "Townie" leaves five times daily at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 6:00pm from the Canmore Boat Launch, which is only a few minute walk from the shops and restaurants downtown. We are Canmore's only locally owned and family operated float company!

Meeting point

Please meet 15 minutes prior to your tour time. From downtown Canmore, follow 8th Street (Main St.) to 8th Ave. Turn left onto 8th Ave and follow over the bridge. Turn left into Public Boat Launch immediately after crossing the bridge.

What to expect

Big mountain views, glacial waters, beautiful spruce and pine shorelines and ample opportunities to catch a glimpse or two of some wildlife, are just a few of the highlights that our Townie Float offer our guests. Tie that in with a fully guided experience from one of our interpretive guides and this makes for the perfect outing for everyone. This gentle 1.5-hr (round trip) float starts downtown Canmore, only a few minutes away from the local pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries, and only a hop, skip and a jump from most hotels and bed and breakfasts.
