You´ll visit the west side of Stuðlagil Canyon, the highlight of the tour. Known as Iceland’s “Basalt Column Canyon,” Stuðlagil features towering geometric basalt formations and striking turquoise waters — a landscape so surreal it feels almost otherworldly. You’ll have plenty of time to explore all the viewing platforms, take photos, and simply absorb the incredible atmosphere of this geological masterpiece.
The first stop on your journey is the majestic Rjúkandi Waterfall, located in the scenic Jökuldalur valley. Here, you can feel the refreshing mist and take in the power and beauty of this impressive cascade as it tumbles down a rugged cliffside surrounded by lush greenery — a perfect spot for photos and quiet reflection.
On the return journey, you’ll stop at the serene Gufufoss Waterfall, just outside Seyðisfjörður. Nestled amid tranquil surroundings, Gufufoss offers the perfect final touch to your day — a peaceful moment to reflect on the natural wonders you’ve encountered.
