    Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna

The Silvestri Craters are two inactive volcanic craters located on the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. They are named after the Silvestri family, who owned the land on which they were formed. The cones are located at an altitude of around 1,900 meters (6,234 feet) above sea level and are easily accessible from the main road that leads to the Etna South Rifugio. Today, the Silvestri Craters are a popular tourist destination. Visitors can hike to the craters and explore the inside of the cones. The views from the craters are stunning, and visitors can also see the other active craters of Mount Etna in the distance. The remaining hours are allotted for the travel time.
