What to expect

This immersive experience invites you to discover the artisan soul of Florence through a journey blending history, sustainability, and creativity.

You can choose to begin with an optional guided walking tour of the Oltrarno district, the historic heart of Florentine craftsmanship. As you stroll between San Frediano and Santo Spirito, your guide will introduce you to the origins of Tuscan leatherworking and textile arts, rooted in the Middle Ages, when wool, silk, and leather made Florence wealthy and influential.

Along the way, you’ll see workshops and historic streets where artisans still practice leatherworking, ceramics, and woodworking, preserving skills passed down through generations.

The experience continues, or begins if you select the workshop-only option, at the PIERO TUCCI Boutique inside Palazzo Gondi. After a welcome drink, you will join a zero-waste leather workshop focused on sustainability and design. Guided by experts, you will assemble and personalize your own accessory, such as a bag or belt, creating a unique handmade piece.

At the end, you'll have the opportunity to purchase your creation as a lasting reminder of your artisan experience.
