Oman Bedouin Culture Experience takes you on a cultural journey and historical adventure into the past. Discover what Oman was like in the 1950’s when nomadic Bedouin wandered the rolling sand dunes of the desert in search of sustenance like food and water. Your host guide for this experience is Said Al Amri. Said is a proud Bedouin and lives with his entire family in the desert. He is a college drop out and takes care of his camels and hosts guests from different parts of the world from many years. Said offer travelers a unique and exclusive glimpse of his Country, accompanied as their personal host & tour guide in Oman.

    The Itinerary starts usually with a visit of Bedouin Museum owned by Khalfan bin Khamis al-Hashemi, a cultural researcher who owns the Old Castle Museum in Sharqiya Sands. Museum has a rich collect of artefacts of Omani & Bedouin culture. After Museum visit drive into Sharqiya Sands, Oman - Leading towards the reddish, rolling dunes of Sharqiya Sands, the paved road gives way to a compressed dirt track, peppered on both sides with tufts of green scrub. Deeper into the desert, the road disappears, but Said knows the way instinctively. The 26-year-old Bedouin tour guide grew up here and now spends his days teaching foreigners about his family's traditional way of life and much more. Arrive at Said’s home – meet the family and enjoy traditional Lunch with them. Later afternoon drive on the nearby dune for Sunset. After Sunset drive back & Join the Family evening gathering at Omani Coffee. Interact with the family and know more about their way of living and tradition. Traditional Dinner with Family

    SHARQIYA SANDS –WADI BANI KHALID – JALAN BANI BUI ALI

    Today you will explore wahiba Sands and meet different Bedouin tribes living nomadic life in the desert. Apart from that, you will visit some nearby old mudbrick villages like Jalan Bani Bu Al and Jalan Bani Bu Hasan. Both famous for Arabian horse breeding. Stop at The 500 year old Al Hammouda Mosque in Jaalan Bani Bu Ali is an architectural masterpiece that has kept traditions alive. Besides being a functional mosque, it is also a tourist attraction. Located in Al Dhahir, the mosque is famous for its characteristic 52 domes is built in beautiful geometric design.

    DESERT CROSSING – KHALUF

    Today you will cross the desert and on the way stop for photos. You will also get to meet many Bedouin tribes and can stop for a chat. Your stay today will be in tent at Khaluf beach. Al Khaluf is the name of the fishing village at the north end of the stretch. You will visit the village and meet the angler’s community at the beach side. Next day after breakfast, we will cross the desert approximately 5 hours driving to south east towards Muhut its one of the states of the central region of Oman overlooking the Arabian Sea; It was one of the most important ports of previous times. It was famous for shipbuilding, transporting passengers and goods from Oman to East Africa, India and other parts of the African continent, carrying Omani products and returning with goods that were not in Oman that time. from there continue our journey towards Khaluf Beach, one of the nicest beaches in Oman and a place excite and calm white sugar dunes, rocky outcroppings, and sleepy fishing villages. What makes this area special is its isolation. Since it is so far from Muscat, the area does not get many visitors.

    KHALUF – RAS AL RWAYS – RAS AL HADD

    Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve

    In the morning, we leave our camping place drive to Al Khaluf Village stop at fish market local peoples come with hug number of fresh fish and seafood selling and paying. From Ras Ar Rways we drive along coastline you will pass on many of the sea villages and the largest and the most beautiful one is Al Askharah fishing village that will depend on fishing. We will visit Al Ashkharah port; there you will see much fishermen’s returning from the sea with huge quantities of fish and seafood. Then tour continues to Ras al Hadd. In the evening after buffet dinner in Ras Al Jinz turtle Reserve. Here we will go on a guided beautiful walking tour on the beach at night under the stars, where we have a high chance of seeing Omanis great sea turtles stumbling on to the beach to build a nest and lay the eggs. If you are lucky, you can even see baby turtles hatching from some nests.

    RAS AL JINZ – MUSCAT

    Wadi Shab

    In the morning, Said will show you the City of Sur, the famous Omani Dhow Factory, where you can see traditional wooden Dhows are being built. He take you to the old part from Sur where most of the houses there designed by wooden doors and windows. From Sur we drive to Wadi Shab. With a 45-minute hike up through the canyon Wadi, we arrive at one of several clear water pools. Tourists can swim on through the warm waters from pool to pool. Eventually we come to the last pool where an opening among the enormous rocks allows us to swim into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, the sunlight filters in from the outside, turning the water into a beautiful turquoise blue whilst water showers down one side of the cave from the Wadi beyond. After visiting wadi shab stop at Bimah sinkhole, (swimming in the sinkhole is possible) Later in the Afternoon, drive back to Muscat.
