Slano Village stop Afterward, we will be coming back along a coastal road towards Dubrovnik. Halfway, we will place a short visit to Slano village which means salty in Croatian. This was the place where the salt from the Ston saltworks was distributed towards the hinterland. We will have a stroll and see the former Rector palace which has been renovated just recently as well as a small archaeological exhibition within a monastery garden with tombs dating from an early Christian era.
