An exciting tour to discover the Amalfi Coast through its history and flavors. Immerse yourself into an archaeological journey through the ancient cities of Pompeii and Ercolano. Sail to the rocky island of Capri, and wander around its tiny pedestrian alleys.

Pompei: known as ‘the buried city,’ it used to be the holiday destination of wealthy ancient Romans because of its healthy weather and impressive views. Its archaeological zones, Herculano and the Annunziata tower have all been listed as World Heritage Sites by Unesco.

Capri: the most scenic and famous island in the world. Famous for exclusive hotels and shopping is a must visit when in Campania.

Upon your arrival in Amalfi Coast reach the hotel on your own and check in. Enjoy your first day at leisure on the stunning Amalfi Coast.

Day 2

AMALFI COAST – POMPEII – HERCULANEUM – AMALFI COAST

Pompeii

After breakfast enjoy a small group tour to discover the two well-preserved archeological sites of Pompei and Herculaneum. Meet your local guide and board the coach to depart to Pompeii, passing the beautiful towns along Amalfi Drive. When you arrive at Pompeii, you’ll have around 2 hour guided tour of the archaeological excavations of this commercial centre that was buried by the Vesuvius eruption. Discover the conditions and the contexts of ancient life that was suddenly interrupted during the night between 24 and 25 August 79 A.D. when 5 meters of lapilli and ash buried this city on the Campanian coast. You’ll have free time for lunch before continuing to Ercolano.

Archeological Park of Herculaneum

When you reach Herculaneum, the other city buried by Vesuvius, you’ll have around 2 hours visit to the excavations. Unlike Pompeii, which was a thriving commercial centre, Herculaneum was a quaint residential coastal town. On the return journey you’ll stop at a well-known cameo atelier.

Day 3

AMALFI COAST – CAPRI – AMALFI COAST

Island of Capri

After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a cruise along the Amalfi Coast and the Island of Capri. Depart from Maiori port by shuttle service by a Gozzo boat to Praiano pier, where you will board the boat for the cruise to Capri. After passing Punta Campanella you approach the Isle of Capri. Our captain will take you on a cruise around the island by boat, you'll see the statue of the Scugnizzo, the Grotta del Corallo, the Grotta Bianca, the Natural Arch, Villa Malaparte, the Faraglioni, the Bay of Marina Piccola, the Grotta Verde, the Lighthouse at Punta Carena.

After cruising around the island, you'll have 4 hours of free time to visit the center of Capri. Head to Piazza Umberto I, better known as the Piazzetta, a surprisingly small square dominated by the profile of the island's Monte Solaro. The Piazzetta is the heart of Capri's social life and therefore became known as the Salotto del Mondo or the world's sitting room. In the late afternoon you'll cruise slowly back to the mainland, leaving the legendary island behind. You will have the time for a stop along the way for a bath in the crystalline water near Nerano or Positano.
