    Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1400 m).

    Greetings from the heart of Nepal- Kathmandu- the busy capital and the gateway to countless travels and treks across the country. A private vehicle and our representative will be waiting for you at the arrival terminal of TIA to take you to your accommodation. After you have unpacked and refreshed, feel free to use the rest of the day to explore the city, and get the first taste of its charming atmosphere, cuisine, and its friendly locals.

    Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Test Ride.

    Boudhanath Stupa

    After you start your day with a tasty breakfast, our guide will meet every participant of our Upper Mustang motorbike tour and explain in short about the travel program ahead. Then, we will have a full day today to discover the historic city of Kathmandu and its magnificent structures. Among other things, we will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu Temple along the Bagmati River where we will get to see the funeral rites in the open air. Then a short trip to Boudhanath and Swayambhunath will take place, where we can see the peaceful monks humming their mantras and the familiar monkeys who are happy to seize what you hold in your hand. A little later in the early evening, we will go to inspect our Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 bikes and take a test ride for a while, so we get used to the Nepal traffic rules and get comfortable with our rides. We will then end our day with a good dinner and early sleep, as the following morning we will have to ride to Pokhara.

    Day 03: Ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900 m) 210 km.

    Pokhara Lakeside

    We will have a very early departure by our motorbike to Pokhara after breakfast. We will leave Kathmandu valley via Kalanki and Thankot Pass and take the dizzying descent along the Prithvi Highway towards Trishuli Valley which will follow us as far as Mugling. We will then go up along the Mugling-Narayanghat Highway towards Bandipur- an old Newar town that still has retained its hundreds of years of old heritage. As we proceed with our ride, we can see the silent giants of Annapurna, Langtang, Ganesh, Fishtail, and Manaslu break through the clouds. Eventually, we will arrive at the lakeside town of Pokhara on the banks of Phewa with the majestic Annapurna massif as a backdrop.

    Day 04: Ride from Pokhara to Kalopani (2530 m) 125 km.

    After breakfast in Pokhara, begin your exciting motorbike journey toward Upper Mustang. Ride along the smooth Baglung Highway before stopping at Kushma to visit Nepal’s longest suspension bridge and the world’s second-highest bungee jump. Continue to Beni, where the paved road ends and the real adventure begins. Follow the rugged off-road trail along the Kali Gandaki River, passing rocky tracks, river crossings, and dramatic mountain scenery. Reach Tatopani (1,200 m), famous for its natural hot springs, then continue climbing through Dana (1,446 m), surrounded by lush forests and the spectacular Rupse Waterfall. The route ascends to Ghasa (2,012 m), a charming Thakali village where you can enjoy an authentic Thakali meal. Ride onward through Tukuche, with magnificent views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, before arriving at the peaceful village of Kalopani for an overnight stay.

    Day 05: Ride from Kalopani to Samar (3650 m) 65 km.

    After breakfast, continue your thrilling Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour as the trail steadily climbs into Nepal’s remote Himalayan desert. Ride through the famous apple village of Marpha and the bustling town of Jomsom before following the Kali Gandaki River toward Ekle Bhatti. The landscape gradually changes from green valleys to dramatic cliffs, colorful rock formations, and dry mountain terrain. At Kagbeni, complete the permit check at the ACAP checkpoint before entering the restricted Upper Mustang region. The rugged off-road track leads through Tangbe, where spectacular views of the 7,061 m Nilgiri Peak dominate the skyline. Descend briefly to Chhusang (2,980 m) before tackling the winding uphill trail to the peaceful village of Samar, surrounded by striking red cliffs and ancient landscapes. Overnight stay in a comfortable local lodge.

    Day 06: Ride from Samar to Lo Manthang (3860 m) 63 km.

    After breakfast, ride deeper into the ancient Kingdom of Mustang, where dramatic Tibetan landscapes, colorful cliffs, and centuries-old villages create an unforgettable adventure. The challenging off-road trail crosses Syangboche La Pass (3,850 m) before descending to the peaceful villages of Syangboche and Ghami (3,520 m). Continue past impressive Mani walls and climb the rugged trail to Mui La Pass (4,170 m), one of the highest points of the day. Visit the historic Lo-Ghekar Monastery near Dhakmar, one of the oldest monasteries in Mustang, before following the scenic Charang Khola to the traditional village of Tsarang. Explore its ancient five-story Dzong, monastery, and remarkable Buddhist artwork while enjoying panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, and the surrounding Himalayas. Finally, cross the windy Lo La Pass (3,950 m) and descend into the legendary walled city of Lo Manthang, the cultural heart of Upper Mustang, for an overnight stay.

    Day 07: Explore Lo Manthang - Visit Chhoser Cave and Monastery.

    Spend a full day exploring the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang, the cultural heart of the former Kingdom of Mustang. Visit traditional yak herders and experience their unique mountain lifestyle while tasting authentic yak milk tea. Explore some of Upper Mustang’s most important monasteries, including the 15th-century Champa Lhakhang, Chode Monastery, and the beautifully decorated Thubchen Monastery, all rich in Tibetan Buddhist history and art. Later, ride to the remote village of Chhoser to discover its fascinating ancient cave complexes, including the remarkable Jhong Sky Cave, a multi-level man-made cave system believed to be over 2,000–3,000 years old. After an unforgettable day of cultural and historical exploration, return to Lo Manthang for an overnight stay.

    Day 08: Ride from Lo Manthang to Muktinath (3,710 m) 105 km.

    Muktinath Temple

    Enjoy the brilliant sunshine gracing the white and blue peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri for one last time. We have a long and technical ride ahead but the end of today’s travels will be incredibly sacred as we set foot in the revered land of Muktinath. We will set off along the well-known terrain and scenery and ride back to Tsarang and Ghami eventually reaching Kagbeni. The small stretch of asphalt road will take us to Muktinath in less than half an hour. The Muktinath is more touristy than Mustang, especially because of its temple which brings many Nepalese and Indians.

    Day 09: Ride from Muktinath to Tatopani (1,200 m) 70 km.

    Tatopani

    After breakfast, visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, one of Nepal’s most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. Participate in the traditional purification ritual by walking beneath the 108 holy water spouts and enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Afterwards, begin the scenic ride back through Jomsom and the charming apple village of Marpha, famous for its whitewashed houses, apple orchards, and locally produced apple products. As the journey continues, the dry Himalayan landscape gradually transforms into lush forests and greener valleys. Ride along winding mountain roads to Tatopani, where you can unwind in the natural hot springs before enjoying a comfortable overnight stay at a local lodge.

    Day 10: Ride from Tatopani to Pokhara (900 m) 105 km.

    Pokhara Lakeside

    We will begin our return journey through the beauty of the Himalayan foothills. Following the familiar route will be much easier and more comfortable now. After we reach Beni, we may take the tiny mountain road that will guide us toward the Kalika Bhagwati Temple in Baglung. Then, we will make our way back to Pokhara, enjoying the dizzying views of Fishtail, Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna. The evening in Pokhara will be a festive delight.

    Day 11: Ride from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1400m) 210 km.

    In last day of our Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour, we will go back down the same magnificent roads that leave Pokhara and take us through the pretty rice fields towards Bandipur. Gradually, Kathmandu will be arrived late in the evening, a perfect time for gathering around one final time to enjoy each other’s company over a warm farewell dinner.
