After meeting you at your Hotel you will start this tour
Your four-day trip will start with a pick-up by your driver from Errachidia and a direct drive to Merzouga.
From here, you'll pass through a number of alluring locations, including Zis Valley Upon landing at Errachidia airport, you'll be whisked away on a scenic drive through the dramatic Ziz Valley to Merzouga, known for its proximity to the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. The journey offers stunning views of lush oasis towns and rugged landscapes, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Arriving in Merzouga, you will check into a traditional hotel where you can unwind and relax. To welcome you, the staff will serve refreshing mint tea, a hallmark of Moroccan hospitality.
After breakfast in your lodging, the Merzouga day tour will start. We'll visit the Hassi Labied oasis to witness its irrigation canal and land cultivation, then continue south to the seasonally active Srij Lake (if there is water in it). If you'd like to hear the Gnawa music of the dark-skinned people who immigrated to Morocco over a century ago and were forced to work as slaves, we'll continue to Khamlia Village.
Khamlia Village. we'll continue on to the M'ifis mines. We'll have the opportunity to visit a nomadic Berber family still living in their tent in the Sahara on our trip to the Merzouga desert. We'll converse with them over a cup of mint tea while learning about their way of life. Additionally, we'll pause at a number of panoramic spots to take in the view and document the views. We'll return to the village after lunch at a neighboring restaurant. You will then embark on a camel trek to reach our Berber Camp in Merzouga. After breakfast, we leave the desert to explore Rissani town, the historical capital of Tafilalet. Still a significant trading hub in the area, Rissani has a sizable souk that is active on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After taking a stroll through the souk in Rissani,
, we travel on to Erfoud to visit one of the factories that produce fossilized marble. In order to get to the Todra gorges, we then drive through the Touroug and Tingdad palm groves.
The Todra River's flow formed a massive canyon through the mountains, creating a gorge with steep red cliff sides. These gorges are perfect for rock climbers. Feel free to explore the gorges and admire the breathtaking scenery. Free time to go to a restaurant for lunch. Then, after passing through Boumalne Dades
passing through Boumalne Dades, we continue to the dades valley. Stops at the "monkey fingers" rock formation are unavoidable. then on to a stop on a mountaintop with a view of the Dades valley. Finally, supper and a hotel stay.
On the final day of your four-day excursion through the Moroccan desert, we carry on to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley. Each May, a Rose Festival is celebrated. where the locals sell a variety of rose-related goods, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. We travel through the soukra palm groves. We eventually arrive in Ouarzazate, popularly known as the gateway to the desert. We'll go to the studio where famous films are made.
. We travel to see the well-known Kasbah of Ait Haddou. a walled town that UNESCO has designated as a World Heritage site. The Kasbah has also been featured in a number of films, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV shows like Game of Thrones.
We next proceed to Marrakech. driving over the breathtaking High Atlas mountains and to the Tizi-n-Tchika pass. There will be breaks for lunch and photo opportunities at interesting locations. Finally, when we get to Marrakech, we will leave you off at the airport or your accommodation.
