We’ll depart from Lisbon and begin our 90-minute drive along the highway, heading north towards Fátima. Upon arriving in Fátima, we will introduce you to the rich history and significance of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, a major Catholic pilgrimage site known for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917. You’ll have approximately 60 minutes to explore the Sanctuary at your own pace. You can visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, light a candle, attend Mass, or spend time in this serene setting. The Museum of the Shrine of Fátima offers another great option.

Next, we’ll drive a short 10-minute journey to Valinhos, a small village just outside of Fátima. Our first stop in Valinhos will be the House of Lúcia, where the eldest of the three young shepherds grew up. Next, we’ll visit the house of Francisco and Jacinta Marto, the two young siblings who, along with Lúcia, witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady. Then it is time to drive back to Lisbon.
