Known as the "Bay of the Descending Dragon" in the local language, Ha Long Bay is home to a dense cluster of 3,000 monolithic limestone islands, each crowned with lush jungle vegetation, rising dramatically from the ocean. Many of these islands are hollow, featuring massive caves, while others host floating villages where fishermen thrive, catching over 200 species of fish and 450 types of mollusks.
