Airport pickup and drop-off at Kathmandu International airport
Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! When you land at the airport, our Asian Heritage Treks and Travels representative will be there to greet you with a sign displaying your name. They will take your luggage and guide you to our private vehicle, which will drive you to your hotel. On the way to the hotel, you will pass by some interesting places, like the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO Heritage site. You will also catch a glimpse of the Royal Palace Museum, also known as Narayanhiti, from the outside. As you approach Thamel, you'll see the Garden of Dreams by the roadside. After your arrival and settling into the hotel, our representative will be there to assist you and go over your travel plans. Once the formalities are taken care of, you'll have time to venture out and explore the charming streets of Thamel. Make the most of your stay and enjoy every moment.
One your second day, you will explore Several UNESCO heritage sites across the Valley. First, you'll visit the Swayambhunath Temple,an important religious and cultural place for Buddhists. The temple is located on a hill and offers breathtaking views of Kathmandu city and the valley. You can see the beautiful stupa with its intricate architecture, prayer wheels, and colorful prayer flags. There are also many playful monkeys around the temple, which is why it is also known as the Monkey Temple. You can watch these monkeys, but be careful with your belongings as they can be mischievous.
The next stop is the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. You can walk around the stupa in a clockwise direction, a spiritual practice called "kora". This will let you experience the serene atmosphere and feel a sense of tranquility. The area around the stupa is lively, with many shops, cafes, and restaurants. here, you'll have some free time to have lunch. you can have lunch at a rooftop restaurant with a view of the stupa. you can also interact with the locals to enrich your experience.
After that you'll visit the Pashupathinath Temple, a place of Hindu tradition and spirituality. Here, you ll witness various religious rituals, prayers, and ceremonies performed by devotees, priests, and holy men. One of the highlights is the Sandhya Aarti (Evening worship ceremony), where devotees offer prayers with lighted lamps and sing hymns to praise Lord Shiva. The ceremony takes place at the Bagmati River, adding to the temple's mystical ambiance.
After that, you'll head to Thamel for a special activity. You'll participate in a traditional Tibetan Momo (dumpling) cooking workshop. A local cook will teach you how to make these delicious snacks, and then you'll enjoy a local dinner with your creations. Thamel is known for its vibrant atmosphere with lights and energy. You can explore the busy market stalls and narrow alleys. Thamel offers diverse shopping options, including traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, and artisanal goods. Bargaining with local vendors can make the shopping experience fun and interactive.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the three famous king squares in Kathmandu Valley. Here you find beautiful temples and your guide will explain the history of this unique place. Around lunchtime, your guide will take you to special street food stalls for a local street food lunch.
At Pottery Square, many local handicraft men are making traditional clay pots. We have arranged for you to participate in a workshop where a local craftsman will teach you how to make such clay pot yourself.
Via the Namo Buddha stupa and monastery, you will continue your tour to Dhulikhel, a small and quiet village in Kathmandu Valley.
In the early morning, you will drive from Dhulikhel to Chitwan National Park, located in the south of Nepal. Upon arrival, a tasty lunch will be served at your hotel.
In the afternoon, a national park guide will show you around a local Tharu village where you can admire the traditional way of living of the local residents.
At the Sauraha Tharu Cultural House, a daily cultural dance performance will show several music and dance styles from the area. If you wish, you can participate in the dance act yourself.
In the early morning, a local breakfast will be served at your hotel. You will explore the national park by a canoe ride along the river towards the starting point of a jungle walk. After lunch in the hotel, you will visit the jungle by Jeep, where you can spot different wildlife. such as Rhinos, elephants, birds, and if you are lucky, a tiger.
Lumbini is known as the birthplace of Buddha and a world-famous pilgrimage site with many temples, cultures, and religions. Lumbini is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and is known as one of the most famous pilgrimage sides in Asia. Many countries around the world have their own temples in this area. Upon arrival in Lumbini, your local guide will show you around the many temples and special places of Lumbini. The highlight of this place is to see the birthplace of Buddha. Tonight you will get the unique opportunity to stay in a guest house inside a monastery.
In the morning you will move from Lumbini to Pokhara by private transport. Once you have arrived in Pokhara, you will have free time in the afternoon to explore the lakeside (tourist area) of Pokhara with the amazing views over Lake Fewa. Here you will find many nice restaurants, bars, and shops that will entertain you for the rest of the day and evening. The lakeside is an amazing place to enjoy a drink in the evening.
Today you will start up early as today you will head to Sarangkot (a 30-minute drive) to capture a tranquil and spectacular view over the city before sunrise and view the first rays of sunlight hitting the mountains in the background. Sarangkot offers panoramic views of Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and other mountains.
The International Mountain Museum is the place to learn about Nepal's famous mountaineering industry. It features a great exhibition of Nepal's famous mountain peaks and famous climbers.
This waterfall is a famous spot for tourists and locals. The waterfall continues to flow from underground which makes it a unique place to visit.
This holy cave is located across the street from the waterfall. Inside, you will find a large stalagmite worshipped as a Shiva lingam.
The world peace pagoda is located on a hill overlooking Fewa Lake, the Himalayas mountains, and Pokhara lake-side. Enjoy the great view, peaceful atmosphere, and sunset at this temple.
For adventure-minded travelers, a Paragliding flight above Fewa Lake is a must-do. During a 30-minute tandem flight, you have breathtaking views over the Annapurna range. For this activity, a surcharge of 100 USD per person will be charged.
In the morning you drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the trekking starting point. From here you start your hike toward Ulleri.
You will start walking through the old villages and meandering green hills. Terraced paddy fields along the neighboring yet distant hills and the wind gushing in your face make for a pleasant and smooth drive with much time to enjoy the landscape. You will have your Lunch stop at Hile and commence walking to Ulleri via Thikhedhunga. As you reach Ulleri, you will check in to the lodge where you can have a traditional Nepalese mountain dinner.
You will have your breakfast in the lodge in Ulleri and then commence walking to reach Ghorepani. You will get plenty of opportunities to learn, understand and get pure experience about the lifestyle of the local mountain people. Along the way, one can enjoy the majestic view of Machhapuchhre (6997m), Huinchuli (6441m), and Annapurna South (7219m) and the world’s largest rhododendron forest. You will reach Ghorepani in the afternoon and check in to the lodge. Now, you can stroll around the village and interact with the local people and other trekkers, you will have a great view over the Himalayan mountains from here.
In the early morning, you will start trekking from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) and then to Tadapani (2650m). You will begin the trek to Poon Hill (3210m) in the early morning to catch the first ray of sunlight. The pleasant sunrise at Poonhill trek passes through culturally rich villages that are set against the background of majestic mountains. Along with a sunrise view over Mt. Annapurna, Poonhill also offers panoramic views of several mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains. You will return and have your breakfast at Ghorepani, and then commence the trek to Tadapani (2650 m). The trek will begin through the thick forest of rhododendrons, bamboos, and oaks. One can observe and appreciate nature’s beauty; waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds, and green valleys.
After Breakfast, you will start trekking through jungle areas. Today you will walk quite a long distance than that on other days. Along the way, you will pass through different villages, jungles, and streams. After continuous walking for 3 to 4 hours, you will see the beautiful Gurung village, which is called Ghandruk. You will have your lunch and rest for some time. Now, you will continue walking to Tolka via another Gurung village Landruk. You will enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain ranges, green hills, and the tiny local villages on the way. Once you reach Tolka, you will check in to the lodge.
Tolka is a place in the Annapurna region from where you can see the beautiful view of Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and other surrounding ranges. After having breakfast, you will commence walking back in the direction of Pokhara via Australian Base Camp. You will enjoy a pleasant walk with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Hike downhill to Kande. At Kande, your driver will be waiting for you and drive you back to Pokhara.
You will have your breakfast in the hotel in Pokhara. After breakfast, you will be driven back to Kathmandu. In the late afternoon, you will reach Kathmandu where you will be directed to your hotel where you will stay the night.
Approximately 3 hours before departure of your flight, you will be transferred to Kathmandu international airport where we will guide you to the check-in hall. From here we hope you had an amazing journey through our country, Nepal. And we hope to see you again
