Pikey Peak is one of the famous vantage points to see the panoramic view of Mount Everest, Mount Dhaulagiri, and Mount Kanchenjunga. From this vantage point, one can see the best sunrise and sunset panoramic view within the deep green valleys. At present, pikey peak is one of the most popular short trek destinations in Nepal among the tourist within 6 days of easy trekking.
Pikey Peak was a seasonal snowy hill where local Sherpa people go for short hiking trips and to hang the prayer flag on the top. The Pikey named after the name of the local Sherpa deity represents the sky over nature. During the monsoon time, in June/July local people Sherpa people worship their CLAN god and perform the ceremony of the Buddhist Lama and a group of Monks.

Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal. You are greeted at the airport by an Asian Heritage Treks & Travel' representative holding your nameplate. You will be transferred to the hotel by passing the Pashupatinath Temple, the Royal Palace Museum, also known as Narayanhity Palace, and the Garden of Dreams to reach Thamel. At Touristic Hub, your accommodation will be located downtown. There will be enough time for roaming around Thamel Street.
Swayambhunath temple is also known as "Monkey Temple". This temple is located on the top of a hill, with the large stupa as the main attraction. The stupa is reachable from two sides. Either by a long flight of stairs or from the backside by road.
Boudhanath Stupa is the largest, and most important stupa in Nepal. Wander around this magical location and behold Buddhists from all over the world praying. Enjoy a refreshment or lunch at one of the rooftop restaurants overlooking the stupa. Learn about the history of this place from your local tour guide.
Pashupatinath is the most holy temple in Kathmandu for the Hindu religion. This temple is located along the river, where many open-air cremation ceremonies take place.
In the early morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to Dhap. The road follows the Sun Koshi River which then merges with the Tama Koshi River to form another Koshi River until reaching Ghurmi. We will pass many villages and bazaars along the way. On reaching Dhap, you can explore the local bazaar and observe the lifestyle of locals.
Today, we will start our trek as we walk along the dusty roads leading to Sigane. Walking along the dusty road for some time, we reach Jhapre. Jhapre is famous for its vantage point to view the mountains like Mt. Everest and the Numbur Himal. You can also visit the stupas and monasteries.
Enjoy the sunrise view from Jhapre as the first golden rays of the sun fall on the silver lining of snow-capped mountains. Then, continuing our trek along the trail for some time, we reach Bhulbule. The trail then becomes steep and climbs through the rhododendron forests & small settlement areas of Lhamuje. Crossing the Lhamuje, the trails open out to yak grazing pasture and then cross a long Mani wall followed by a climb along the winding road to Pikey Base Camp. In Pikey Base Camp, you can visit the Yak Cheese Factory and can enjoy the magnificent views of the Himalayas surrounding the valley
In the early morning, hike to Pikey Peak to enjoy the glorious sunrise over the Himalayas such as Mt. Everest (8848 m), NumburChuli (6959 m), Thamserku (6608 m), Kangtega (6685 m), Khatang (6853 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Manaslu (8163 m), Gaurishankar (713 4m), DorjeLakpa (6966m) and Langtang. After enjoying the view, return to Pikey Peak Base Camp, and from there, hike down to Junbesi followed by the descent to Lamjura. Crossing many Mani walls and Chortens on our way we will reach Junbesi.
Junbeshi is a typical Sherpa village. Here, you can experience the Sherpa culture and visit the popular Monastery. Later, we leave Junbeshi village and pass through the prayer flags and prayer wheels with carved mantra stones walls. On reaching Salleri, you can rest at the lodge or hike to Phaplu to visit the famous Tibetan monastery.
You will drive from Salleri to Kathmandu. On the way, you can see the beautiful hills and slopes. Later, you can stroll through the streets of Thamel for shopping. You can also buy souvenirs for your friends and family.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the three famous king squares in Kathmandu Valley. Here you find beautiful temples and your guide will explain the history of this unique place. Around lunchtime, your guide will take you to special street food stalls for a local street food lunch.
At Pottery Square, many local handicraft men are making traditional clay pots. We have arranged for you to participate in a workshop where a local craftsman will teach you how to make such clay pot yourself.
You'll be driven to one of the ancient cities inside Kathmandu Valley i.e. Patan Durbar Square for sightseeing. In Patan, you will be visiting other UNESCO World Heritage sites: Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Later on, visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn more about the history of Patan and the kings who reigned here. Later, visit the Golden Temple, a major attraction for both Hindu and Buddhist people, and Banglamukhi Temple.
Your trip will come to an end today. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by our private van around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination. Have a safe journey onwards.
