In the morning, our tour guide will arrive to pick you up, accompanied by a private vehicle. The first destination on the itinerary is Kathmandu Durbar Square; UNESCO assigned as the World Heritage Site. Here, you will have the opportunity to witness the remarkable wood-carved temples and buildings that embody the essence of ancient Kathmandu city.
Next, we will proceed to Swayambhunath, also known as the monkey temple. This sacred site offers a captivating display of religious harmony and tolerance, as it is a place where both Buddhist and Hundus traditions coexist peacefully. While exploring Swayambhunath, you will have the opportunity to witness this unique blend of faiths. Additionally, you can savor the breathtaking panoramic view of Kathmandu city and the majestic Himalayan ranges from this vantage point.
Onwards we will now head towards Boudhanath stupa, an ancient structure dating back to 600 A.D. Once we arrive, you will have the opportunity to explore the captivating surroundings of Boudhanath. This magnificent stupa is an architectural marvel and a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site. Take your time to soak in the serene atmosphere and appreciate the intricate details of the stupa.
Following Bouddhanath, our next stop will be the renowned Pashupatinath Temple. This significant pilgrimage site holds great importance for Hindu devotees across Southeast Asia. You will have the opportunity to explore the temple grounds and witness the ritual body cremation ceremonies conducted on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. This powerful experience provides insight into Hindu customs and traditions.
Today, our guide will receive you and then drive you to Patan. You’ll be driven to one of the ancient cities inside Kathmandu Valley Patan Durbar Square. In Patan, you will be visiting other UNESCO World Heritage sites. We will visit Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Later on, visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn more about the history of Patan and the kings who reigned here. Later, visit the Golden Temple, a major attraction for both Hindu and Buddhist people.
After visiting Patan, you'll be visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one the largest and most preserved medieval city centers from the Malla period. The area is famous for its monuments and architecture as well as its well-preserved local traditions like pottery. Until today, the city has been able to be kept intact in its old form. You can observe the old wood-carved buildings all around Bhaktapur. We will visit the Nyatapola Temple, one of the biggest temples in Nepal. You will visit Pottery Square. Here, you can also take the pottery-making class using traditional methods. Here, you will be taught to design your pot. Once you have your basic shape hammered out, you can even choose to adorn your creation. However, please note that this activity will have a separate cost, which you need to cover.
