Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593ft) Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our office representative with our official nameplate board on Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). You will be transferred to your accommodation to settle in. Take some time to rest and adjust to the new environment. If you feel up to it, you can explore the immediate vicinity of your hotel and get a taste of the bustling streets and local culture of Kathmandu. Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing We will dedicate this day to exploring the historic and cultural sites of Kathmandu. Start with Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient palace complex with numerous temples, palaces, and courtyards. Marvel at the intricate architecture and beautifully carved wooden structures. Next, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, perched atop a hill and offering panoramic views of the city. Explore the Buddhist and Hindu shrines, and watch playful monkeys roam around. Afterward, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple complex on the banks of the Bagmati River. Observe the cremation Ghats and witness the religious rituals being performed. Finally, head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Walk around the stupa, spin prayer wheels, and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere. Day 3: Sightseeing at Patan and Bhaktapur and transfer to Nagarkot. Today, you will visit two ancient cities near Kathmandu: Patan and Bhaktapur. In Patan, you will visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Krishna Temple and the Patan Durbar Square. You will also have the chance to visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn about the history of Patan and the kings who ruled there. You'll also see the Golden Temple, a popular attraction for both Hindus and Buddhists. In Bhaktapur, you will be amazed by the well-preserved ancient architecture, with wood-carved buildings all around the city. You will also visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have the opportunity to explore the surroundings and visit the Nyatopola Temple, one of the largest temples in Nepal. After visiting Bhaktapur, you will transfer to Nagarkot. Day: 4 Nagarkot to Kathmandu and Kathmandu free day. Today we will drive back to Kathmandu. The distance between Nagarkot and Kathmandu is approximately 30 kilometres. The route takes you through charming villages, terraced farmlands, and lush forests, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range. Once you reach Kathmandu, you can explore its vibrant markets and can buy gifts for your loved ones. Day 5: Departure Your trip will come to an end today. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by our private vehicle around 3 hours before your flight schedule.
