Here your guide will take you around the town to see the highlights and you will be able to try the famous beverage while there. Free time for shopping or wandering around the walls will be given
The Capital of the Big Waves, Nazaré is where you can find the biggest waves ever surfed in the world. This phenomenon usually happens during the portuguese early winter months and until the beginning of spring (November to March). A city of tales and legends, or genuine locals and great seafood. We will stop for a traditional lunch here and to enjoy the breathtaking views over the city and the ocean
A city that boasts the art noveau architecture in Portugal, and is also known as the "Portuguese Venice" due to its canals that surround and cross this small city. You can opt to take a boat ride around the canals and try the traditional sweets of Aveiro (Ovos Moles - Sweet Eggs and Tripa - a fluffy crepe).
This is our favorite wine estate, but it is not mandatory to take your tour on this one. It is just a suggestion. We will start our day driving from Porto to the Douro Valley and enjoying the amazing views on the way. Upon arrival, you will be taken to a wine estate where you will get to know the process of making Port Wine and you can have a wine tasting with regional cheeses and smoked meats. The wine estate we recommend is on the top of a hill, facing the Douro River, which will give you the opportunity to take the best pictures. We don't include the price of the wine tour and experience because we like to give our clients options that they can choose and adapt to their preferences.
After a great wine tasting, we will either go straight to the Pinhão pier and take a 1 hour Douro River Cruise or we will go for lunch and take the cruise after lunch. The Douro River cruise is included on the price of the tour
Before returning to Porto, we will take you to a couple of different viewpoints for the last pictures of the day
Your guide will take you around the main highlights of the city of Porto, such as: - S. Bento Train Station - Aliados Avenue - Clérigos Church and Tower - Carmo Church - Carmelitas Church - Lello Bookshop (Harry Potter) - Ribeira neighborhood - Porto Sé Cathedral This tour is preferably walking but in case you get tired we can always drive instead of walking. Porto has a small center where it is easy to walk around the main attractions. After lunch we will cross the bridge and go to Gaia, where all the wine cellars are located and you will have the opportunity to taste Port and still wines from the Douro Region. Upon finishing these activities we will drive straight back to Lisbon, where we will spend the next 2 nights.
You will have the option of visiting one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. Your guide will take you to the property and show you around. In peak seasons we do not recommend visiting the interior of the Palace, only the gardens and terraces because there is no way to skip the line to enter the actual palace. We can buy tickets for you and skip the lines outside but to enter the Palace there is nothing we can do to prevent lining up for a long time.
You will be able to see the Moorish Castle from several viewpoints in Sintra. In case you want to visit this castle, we will take you there.
We will stop close to the city center, where the National Palace is located and walk around with you to show you the local delicassies such as the Queijada and Travesseiro, the 2 traditional pastries of this town. You will see the picturesque center of the town and walk around its very narrow cobble stone streets
Our favorite monument in Sintra. A mystical place that was the dream of a very wealthy brazilian man, this estate is engulfed in mystery and stories that your guide can tell you. One of the most famous highlights of Sintra which is the initiation well is located inside the lush property
Drive by the Palace of Seteais, a 18th century palace that is now a 5 star hotel
Another drive by on the way to the coast. This palace was owned by Sir Francis Cook and it was the Cook family summer house. Stop for pictures from the outside
