After breakfast, take a one hour transfer to Alba Iulia. Stop to visit the Vauban citadel. Good chance to understand why this is a very special town both for Romanians and Hungarians of Transylvania.
Visit Corvin Castle (also known as Hunyadi Castle), built by the glorious Hunyadi family which gave the Kingdom of Hungary one of its greatest Kings: Matthias the Just. Charmed by the fairy-tale beauty of the castle and shocked by its austerity, let yourself immersed into the legends and the stories about the royal family, it’s origin, medieval fighting techniques and many other interesting information.
Arrive in the culturally bustling city of Sibiu. Free time to stroll on the colourful streets and enjoy one of the many local restaurants.
After breakfast, tour the old town: visit the four fortifications of the medieval city, the Liar’s Bridge, the Small & the Big Squares, the Evangelical church. Departure for Sighisoara, along Hartibaciu Valley.
Stop in Biertan to visit the biggest of the UNESCO fortified Saxon churches of Transylvania. Lunch in a restaurant.
Arrive in the medieval town of Sighisoara and visit the old fortification. Free time to visit Vlad the Impaler 'Dracula‘s' birth house or savour a local craft beer. Arrival back in Cluj in late afternoon.
