What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The vessel departs from the Lance Ferris Wharf in Ballina, 12-24 Fawcett Street, Ballina, NSW, 2478, which is located 30 mins south of Byron Bay and 10mins from the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. The crew will greet you at the jetty directly in front of the Wharf Bar & Restaurant.
What to expect
Once offshore, our captain and onboard Marine Biologist will guide you to where whales are most active. During migration season, thousands of Humpback Whales travel along our coastline — often breaching, tail slapping and displaying playful behaviours.
Listen to live whale song through our onboard hydrophone, learn fascinating insights, and take in panoramic views as you search for these majestic marine mammals.
Keep an eye out for dolphins, seabirds and other local wildlife too!

Meeting Point:
Lance Ferris Wharf, 12–24 Fawcett St, Ballina (in front of Wharf Bar & Restaurant)
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. The captain will greet you at the wharf and escort you to the vessel, where lifejackets and waterproof ponchos are provided.
