Lake Mutirikwi, formerly known as Lake Kyle, is a large man-made lake located in southeastern Zimbabwe, just southeast of Masvingo. Masvingo Province, about 30 km east of Masvingo town. History: Created in 1960 by building the Mutirikwi Dam on the Mutirikwi River. Size: Covers about 90 to 93 square kilometers when full. Purpose: Built to supply irrigation water for sugarcane and farming estates in the Lowveld. Nearby Landmarks: Located close to the famous Great Zimbabwe Ruins World Heritage site.

Masvingo to Bulawayo

Matobo National Park Day Trip

Matobo National Park - The Matopos
0700Hrs Matopo day trip tour, one of Zimbabwe's prime wildlife sanctuaries. In addition to the black and white rhinoceros, the Matobo National Park provides a home to a variety of antelope species (kudu, sable, eland) leopard, lizard, and a plethora of birdlife, including the highest concentrations of black eagle in the world. The Matobo National Park have trees and shrubs that are unique to the area, as well as flora and fauna found in many other parts of the world, which have grown naturally in this area. Vegetation ranges from the lichens of the desert-like hilltops to the luxuriant growth of valley swamps. Tour Includes: 1. Rock paintings and curves 2. Rhodes grave 3. Rhino tracking 4. Bulawayo to Hwange National Park

After breakfast in Bulawayo, clients are transfered to Hwange National Park where upon arriving, they are ushered with Lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive for 3hours (1500hrs to 1800hrs) in the biggest and oldest National Park in Zimbabwe, well known for its large number of mammals and birds. The day ends with dinner at the booked hotel and Overnight.

Hwange to Victoria Falls

Early morning game drive in Hwange national Park, with high chances of seeing cats on the hunt, wide variety bird species singing the morning chorus. Around 0930Hrs, clients are transferred to Victoria Falls (Approx 4 hours drive) and upon Arrival and checking in at hotel, Lunch is served followed by Sunset Dinner Cruise. The day ends with overnight stay at the booked hotel.

Full day Victoria Falls Excursion

After breakfast you will be taken to the falls for a guided tour of the falls. After the tour of the falls, you will be taken to the suivernior market, then to the Crocodile farm where you will do a guided Crocodile farm to, snake pit tour and also have a chance to see the lions kept there. You will be taken also to the vulture feeding experience and you will have your lunch at the Makuwakuwa Restaurant. After lunch, you will have time for Optional activities (Paid directly by the clients). In the evening around 7pm, you will be then taken for Boma Dinner and would be returned to the hotel for overnight.
