Then at about midway where cars can no longer drive, an alpine expert will guide you by foot as you hike and explore Mt Etna from over 2000 meters above sea level! Put on your hard hat and head lamp to discover what happens inside the belly of a volcano as you visit the grotto!

    Mount Etna

    Meet your local guide at your centrally located Catania hotel. Enjoy the natural scenery as you are driven in a land rover up Mt Etna. Once you reach 2000 meters, where it is no longer possible to travel by car, you will continue your journey on foot with your certified Etna Alpine guide. Hike through magnificent trails along the rocky volcano side and your alpine guide will show you extinct craters. Make your way back down Mt Etna with your private guide, put on your hard hat and headlamp, and enjoy a visit inside an extinct lava cave to learn about what exactly goes on inside a volcano!
