    Silver Pagoda

    Within the Royal Palace compound is the extravagant Silver Pagoda, also known as Wat Preah Keo or Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It is so named for its floor, which is covered with five tons of gleaming silver. You can sneak a peek at some of the 5000 tiles near the entrance, but most are covered to protect them.

    Located just north of the Royal Palace, the National Museum of Cambodia is housed in a graceful terracotta structure of traditional design (built from 1917 to 1920), with an inviting courtyard garden.     After breakfast you will leave Siem Reap and travel southeast through small beautiful rural villages and rice fields towards the great Tonle Sap lake. Discover the beautiful village of Kompong Phluk and experience the real Cambodian village way of life. Travel by road and boat  will give you the opportunity to see how a vast majority of Cambodians live as fishermen or farmers, and give you an insight into their way of life.  After lunch, you will then make your way back downtown to Senteurs d’Angkor, offers its own range of authentic products handmade in Cambodia to browse natural cosmetics, scents, and homemade soaps, etc...Overnight in Siem Reap at Siddharta Boutique Hotel, Pavillon Indochine, or similar.
