Hidden Valley is one of Joshua Tree National Park’s most iconic landscapes—a natural stone amphitheater surrounded by towering monzogranite formations. Travelers will see massive boulders, ancient rock outcrops, and sweeping desert vistas while learning about the geologic forces that shaped this valley. This stop offers a gentle walking loop through a world-class climbing area and gives guests the chance to photograph Joshua trees, sculpted rock walls, and wildlife that thrives among the granite formations.

Cap Rock Trail offers travelers an easy, scenic loop through one of Joshua Tree’s most photogenic rock gardens. Guests will see towering monzogranite formations, classic Joshua trees, and interpretive areas that explain the park’s natural history. This stop gives visitors time to stretch their legs, take photos, and learn how wind, water, and time sculpted the unique landscape around them.

Inside, you’ll find Joshua Tree souvenirs, T-shirts, postcards, helpful guidebooks, and even a hot cup of coffee to start your adventure.
