Explore the Tsavo East national park which is home to the man eating lions and is featured in the film, the ghost and the darkness.

Tsavo East National park is the largest and oldest Game park in Kenya- attitude start as low as 1200ft to 3000tf above the sea level. Gazette 1948 and located near the village of Voi in the Taita Taveta District of coast province. The park is divided into East/West sections by the A109 road and the railway line. Area 13,747 km2.

    Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo East National park

    Tsavo East National Park - Bachuma Gate

    Pick up from Mombasa/Diani hotel or Airport at 7am and Drive to Tsavo east National park using the Mombasa Nairobi Trans- African highway 11 .00am: Enter Tsavo East Park through Bachuma gate and have a game drive till lunch time. Check in the lodge in time for lunch. At 3.30 pm depart the lodge and start the Evening game drive till 6.00pm. Visit the pipeline area where most of Elephants concentrate since there are lots of water holes to do mud bathing. Here you get a chance to see different wild animals especially Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, lots of Elephants and if your Lucky see the Big CATS. Later dinner and Rest. Dinner and Overnight at Voi wildlife Lodge/similar

    Tsavo East National Park to Mombasa/Diani

    Tsavo East National Park - Bachuma Gate

    Early break fast, followed by morning game drive to capture the sun rise and also it’s a good chance to see the BIG CATS either hunting or hunted and feasting on a kill especially lions. Later depart to Mombasa using the Voi Mombasa highway. Arrive in the afternoon in Mombasa. Drop off and end of tour.
