The memorial-museum is aimed to showcase the splendid gallantry deeds of the brave hearts of Punjab. It is planned to immortalize the deeds of brave soldiers and to inspire and infuse the spirit of patriotism in the youth. The hallmark of the magnificent campus is a 45-meter high stainless steel sword on the central edifice. It represents the strength and courage of the people of Punjab while defending the nation in the hour of need. This iconic structure stands atop a circular platform surrounded by a water body. Names of nearly 3500 martyrs are inscribed on the memorial built at an elevation of 4 meters.

    The Partition Museum

One of the most unique reserves of India’s colonial history is preserved at the Partition Museum at Town Hall. The museum is a rich reserve of artifacts donated generously by those that survived the partition. As people migrated to their designated part of the bordered land, they carried with them the most valuable items as little of them that could be transported. These are the only pieces that remain as testament to the history that have been donated by the families.

    Wagah Border

The lowering of the flags ceremony at the Attari Wagah border is a daily practice between the security forces of India and Pakistan. The drill is characterized by elaborate and rapid dancelike maneuvers and raising legs as high as possible, which have been described as "colorful". It is alternatively a symbol of the two countries’ rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.
