Prosecco Origins will take you back in time to the XIV century to discover the history of world’s favourite sparkling wine, exploring the pieces of land where it all began.
Hidden in a little corner of north-eastern Italy and beautifully located in a unique setting overlooking the gulf of Trieste you’ll find the old villages of Contovello and Prosecco (of course), where you’ll get the chance to learn about the very first steps of Prosecco wine walking through the narrow streets of the ancient village and up and down the green terraced vineyards enjoying unbeatable views of the Adriatic Sea while tasting traditionally produced sparkling wines and regional delicacies from the nearby farmhouses.
From wine-lovers to curious travellers, Prosecco Origins is the perfect experience for a getaway immersed in a unique environment, tasting locally produced wines and homemade delights while exploring the roots of a worldwide favourite. Come see where bubbles were born.
You will meet the activity host close to the table and bench by the little pond of Contovello. Please look up on your map app for 'Contovello Pond' or "Stagno di Contovello'. For any issues on the activity date about locating the meeting point please contact Katrin.
