Already a destination for elite travelers, such as painters and poets in search of inspiration, Verbania, "garden on the lake", is one of the most evocative places overlooking Lake Maggiore. Capital of the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, it was born from the union of the industrial and residential area of Intra and some neighboring hamlets lying on the shores of the Borromeo Gulf. It is one of the places where tourism and culture are most alive, equipped and cared for, it looks like a balcony from which to enjoy splendid views of the lake, such as Villa Giulia or Villa Rusconi Clerici. In this area there are some of the most fascinating gardens and parks in Italy, whose splendor and perfect state of maintenance highlight the coexistence between the fabulous lake atmospheres. The three main monuments to visit are located in the Pallanza area: Villa Giulia, Villa San Remigio and Villa Taranto. Villa Giulia is a business of the Branca family, that of Fernet, dated mid-19th century.
