Departing from Porto, the first stop is the historic town of Amarante, where Romanesque architecture meets the tranquil Tâmega River. Here you will enjoy a guided visit and some free time.
From there, we venture into the heart of the world’s oldest wine region. We will visit an exclusive family-run estate to learn the artisanal secrets of their production, followed by a tasting of fine wines and local delicacies that capture the essence of the land.
Then, you will head to Pinhão, to enjoy a guided visit and free time for lunch in this charming village. If you select the cruise option you’ll board a one-hour boat cruise to admire the terraced vineyards from the serenity of the water. This is the Douro lived slowly, authentically, and memorably.
From there, we will travel along the iconic N222 road—voted one of the most beautiful drives in the world— on the way back to Porto.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive to Amarante, a charming riverside town known for its historic center and the beautiful São Gonçalo Church and Bridge. Stroll through its picturesque streets, admire the baroque architecture, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that makes this town such a hidden gem.
From there, continue into the heart of the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its breathtaking landscapes and centuries-old wine tradition. Visit a traditional winery, where you’ll learn about the region’s unique winemaking process and enjoy a guided tasting of local wines, including the world-famous Port wine and also regional tapas while you enjoy the wines.
Next, head to Pinhão, one of the most iconic villages in the Douro. Surrounded by terraced vineyards that cascade down to the river, Pinhão offers postcard-perfect views.
Here, embark on a typical Rabelo boat cruise along the Douro River (when boat cruised option is selected), a relaxing experience that allows you to fully appreciate the valley’s dramatic scenery from the water.
To complete the day, return to Porto via the legendary N222 road, often considered one of the most beautiful roads in Portugal. Winding along the river and through vineyard-covered hills, it provides a memorable and scenic end to an unforgettable experience.
