Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Asturias on this full-day excursion combining mountain, tradition and iconic fauna. The adventure begins in the Natural Park of Somiedo, accessing from the Alto de la Farrapona to the impressive Lakes of Saliencia. There you can stroll through the glacier-based surroundings of Lake Cave and Lake Black, enjoying spectacular views from its natural viewpoints.

The route continues to Pola de Somiedo, where after a short orientation tour, you will have free time to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere and taste the best Asturian cuisine. In the afternoon, we will move to the council of Proaza to walk the famous Bear Path. From an expert guide, you will know the importance of the Cantabrian brown bear and visit the osero fence to observe specimens in semi-freedom.     It is one of the most unspoilt natural places in the north of the peninsula. Starting the way in the Alto de la Farrapona, you will discover the Lakes of Saliencia : a spectacular glacier complex formed by Lake Cave and Lake Black. You’ll have time to peer into the Mirador de la Cueva and explore this iconic corner of the Cantabrian mountain range, surrounded by peaks and fresh air.

    We will head to Pola de Somiedo, where we will take a small guided tour of orientation. Afterwards, you can explore the village at your leisure, learn about its local pulse and enjoy good traditional food.
