And what is Quinta da Regaleira? They are gardens and a palace that we find in the heart of the Sintra Park. It was built in the twentieth century with a clear slogan: that the palace had all the artistic movements of the time. For this, Luigi Manini, the architect who was in charge of the work, traveled throughout Europe and on his return he brought back the Manueline, neo-Gothic and mythological ideas he had found. As we shall see, mysteries were also built here, one of the most unique being the so-called Initiatory Well of Sintra, a well that, it is said, was used by the Freemasons!
We will go down to Sintra where we will have free time for lunch. We will share with our guide the best ideas for eating in Sintra. Not only will he tell us the best proposals, adapted to all tastes, but he will also tell us which dishes of the Portuguese gastronomy and of the area we can not miss!
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, located on the rugged coast of Portugal. Standing atop dramatic cliffs that rise over 140 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, it offers breathtaking panoramic views and a sense of awe at nature’s power. Marked by a lighthouse and a stone monument, it’s a popular stop for travelers seeking stunning scenery and a symbolic spot where the land meets the endless sea.
Cascais has always been linked to the royalty of Portugal, who spent their summers here since the nineteenth century, and to the most important landmarks of the country, largely due to its strategic position. Once we have arrived, we will stroll through the places to see in Cascais in one day. This typical fishing village boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, mansions of the nineteenth century, museums and places to recreate the past of this town so linked to the sea.
