Take a unique half day Outlander tour and visit the two most popular film locations - Lallybroch and Wentworth prison. Enter the world of Outlander with a visit to Lallybroch , the ancestral home of Jamie Fraser . Linlithgow Palace is not just Wentworth prison in Outlander , it is also the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. Mary was baptised in St Michael's church next door to the Palace. The Palace was built by the Stewart kings of Scotland. King James V was born in the Palace. Lallybroch also features in the Outlander prequel Blood of my Blood , out on TV in August.

    Midhope castle is Lallybroch in Outlander , the ancestral home of Jamie Fraser

    Hopetoun House is an ancient country house which was used for early seasons of Outlander. Its grounds provided multiple filming locations for the series. The rear of the grand house was used as the Duke of Sandringham’s home (with scenes also filmed in the Red Drawing Room) in season 1. The courtyards provided the backdrop for the Parisian streets of season 2 as well as the Helwater stables in season 3. Meanwhile, the front of the house served as Ellesmere Manor in season 3.
