The beauty of Tegenungan waterfall in between green rocky walls can be seen from the first stop point where you can find local stalls serving food and beverages.
Goa Gajah Temple name is slightly misleading, lending the impression that its a gigantic dwelling full of elephants. Nevertheless, Goa Gajah Elephant Cave is an archaeological site of significant historical value that makes it a special place to visit. Located on the cool western edge of Bedulu Village, six kilometers out of central Ubud, you do not need more than an hour to descend to its relic filled courtyard and view the rock-wall carvings, a central meditational cave, bathing pools and fountains.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace alone has an outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice terraces on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well known spot for tourists to stop and take photos. Painters and nature lovers also enjoy visiting this spot, and there are numerous art kiosks and cafes near the ledge offering their ware. Tegalalang rice terraces offer a perfect Bali photo opportunity with its dramatic views.
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary occupies 27 lush, green acres at the lower end of Jalan Monkey Forest in the village of Padangtegal. Home to over 400 long tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) which are divided into 4 groups that occupy different areas of the park, it is an important cultural and spiritual site that welcomes upwards of 10,000 visitors each month. The Monkey Forest Sanctuary is actually owned and operated by the village of Padangtegal, with village members serving on a governing council that seeks to uphold the integrity of the grounds while promoting it as a tourist destination.
Ubud Royal Palace or Puri Saren Ubud is one of the most prominent places in Ubud, as it is smack dab on the main Jalan Raya Ubud road and intersection. The palace can also be regarded as the focal landmark of Ubud. The Ubud palace was built during the lordship of the late Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel (1800-1823) and is well kept by his successive heirs. A visit to the Puri Saren is on many of the itineraries to the Ubud area. It has well-preserved Balinese architecture and charming garden settings and is best known among lovers of Balinese arts as one of the main sites to view dramatic evening dance performances.
The items that you can buy at the Ubud Art Market are all kinds of knick-knacks, very beautiful art tools, various handicrafts made of wood, rattan, and others. And there are also art items in the form of paintings and silver that are sold here with very good quality items. If you could say that the handicrafts sold here are very complete and each shop sells different items so you can freely walk around the complex of this Ubud Art Market, from one shop to another to hunt for handicrafts and souvenirs.
