Get a comprehensive tour of the island of Puerto Rico during a single outing from San Juan. Spend the day in the company of a guide who will follow a carefully curated itinerary that includes many points of interest that typical tours don't cover. You'll see many of the island's historical and natural features, including caves, drive by local beaches, waterfalls, and listen to in-depth historical commentary about the culture and folklore. Sites to visit are San Felipe del Morro Fort, Capitol DIstrict, a stop for authentic food at your expense in Pinones, an easy hike through Parque Historico Cueva Maria de la Cruz and finish in the Yokahu Observation Tower & La Coca Waterfall in El Yunque.

Meeting and pickup
*** Until further notice, all Old San Juan pickups will be done at Plaza Colón, in front of the "I <3 SJ" sign, or in front of Walgreens at the Sheraton Old San Juan. This is due to the cobblestone replacement on Fortaleza Street. If you need assistance for pickup, please contact us*** *** If arriving on a cruise and you cannot meet the 8:30 AM starting time, please contact us to reschedule. The tour requires a minimum of 4 participants to run *** *** If staying outside of San Juan, you can park in Covadonga Parking Building in Old San Juan. Pickups at 8:30 AM will be at Plaza Colón or in front of Walgreens at the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel ***

1San Juan
Driver/Guide will offer live commentary about the historic 500-year-old city and the importance of the fortifications, including Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Travelers will have the opportunity to get out, walk around and take pictures. Although, there's no time to visit the fort. Entrance fee to the fort is *Not* included.

2The Capitol of Puerto Rico
Travelers will be introduced to our history and our three ethnic races through Jose Buscaglia's "Altar de la Patria". You'll also learn how we became a US Territory and you'll have to opportunity to take pictures of the Presidential Monuments, Holocaust Memorial and our Memorial Wall.

3Playa Pinones
You'll have the opportunity to taste some of our finest authentic food. Lunch is at your expense. As we drive out you'll be able to see the local beaches such as Pozita de Pinones and Vacia Talega.

4Parque Historico Cueva Maria de la Cruz
Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Afro Caribbean descent of our race by learning about the music, folklore and one of three geomorphological regions.

5Catarata La Coca
At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.

6Torre Yokahu
Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).
