The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek is one of the most iconic and rewarding trekking experiences in the world. A typical 12-day itinerary for the trek involves exploring the Khumbu region, experiencing Sherpa culture, and enjoying breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest.
Difficulty Level: Moderate to challenging.
Best Time: Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November).
Permits Required: TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) and Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit.
Accommodation: Teahouses (basic lodges).
Essentials: Warm clothing, trekking boots, trekking poles, sleeping bag, and altitude sickness medication.
