If we start with the Old Town, the founding nucleus of the Villa of Bilbao, we will see, among other places of interest, the Arenal promenade where the Arriaga Theater, the Church of San Nicolás, the Concordía station and the imposing building of the Bilbaina Society. We will enter and stroll through the Old Town, knowing the famous Plaza Nueva, the Plaza de Miguel de Unamuno and tour the area of the seven streets, along with the surroundings of the Cathedral of Santiago, among other emblematic places.
If more duration is chosen we can extend this tour knowing the city center, La Gran Via, the Ensanche, the Moyúa square, the Doña Casilda Park, the Alhóndiga or Azkuna Center and end up seeing the imposing building that houses the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao built by the famous architect Frank Gehry.
The collection point will be only one and within the downtown area, if visitors are staying outside the center, they will be picked up at the door of the Hotel Carlton, in the Plaza de Moyúa in Bilbao.
The meeting point will be outside the main entrance of the Hotel.
Visiting the interior of the Guggenheim Bilbao museum to see the exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, is one of the options to consider within the guided tour. The entrance fees to the museum are not included in the Tour Price, if you want to reserve them, all you have to do is contact us and we will precede your management without having to wait to access it for a fee.
This option may include a visit to the Iberdrola Tower, the tallest tower in the city with privileged visits to the Guggenheim Museum, the entire downtown area and even the mouth of the estuary. The common facilities will also be visited with the acquisitions of works of art that are part of the building and the photography exhibition where you can clearly see the great transformation that the city has undergone in recent decades.
The Bidebarrieta Library of Bilbao is one of the nineteenth-century icons of the city steeped in history. Its peculiar architectural style, interior design and its spectacular auditorium are obligatory points of interest to discover the Bilbao town and its past.
The Cathedral of Santiago de Bilbao is another important point to keep in mind as it is part of the founding history of the town. Its initial architectural style and subsequent stylistic contributions make this building an emblematic place worth visiting.
This church is one of the five churches located in Casco Viejo Bilbaino. Its location within the Arenal promenade, its exterior and interior architecture make this temple one of the most important in Bilbao.
