Our driver has your names on a list and will look for you at the meeting point that will be send to you, depending on your hotel. In case you cannot find our taxi we will be always reachable via phone and email.

1Parque Nacional del Este
The excursion starts with a short briefing to explain the proceedings of the day. We then go to our first stop: the Padre Nuestro Ecological and Archaeological Jungle Trail. Padre Nuestro is located within the area of Parque Nacional del Este just outside Bayahibe. The trail has different pathways, ranging in difficulty along its 1.9 km / 1.2 miles. Sturdy shoes are recommended. The trail takes you through the dry tropical jungle, a landscape of limestone, butterflies and birds, as well as impressive underground fresh water caverns. We will tell you about the history of the Park and you can explore the remains of the Taino settlements, the first inhabitants of the Dominican Republic. You also get to experience the magnificent native flora and fauna, which is unique to the East Coast of Hispaniola

After a 30min walk in the jungle you arrive at this fresh water cave, it comes in perfect timing to fresh yourself and enjoy the crystal clear water. maybe you will even see some bats hanging from the ceiling, where they are used to sleep during the day.

When leaving the first fresh water cave we will take a more or less 15 min. walk back direction to our transportation. When we nearly arrive we will visit the second fresh water cave which is a bit more exposed and has beautiful crystal blue water and looks like out of a dream.

3Rio Chavon
When we arrive at the river, our river boat is already waiting for us. We ill board and then enjoy the scenery ride up the river until we reach our farm Yuca Yena. While on the boat you can take in the beauty of the Dominican jungle and its wildlife. On our Farm we will have a Dominican lunch and coffee. After that you can try out the Tarzan swing, go kayaking or enjoy the pool with a beautiful view over the river: If you would like there is a guided food/fruit trail where you can try some cacao and sugar cane, with explanation on how they are produced.

4Bayahibe
When arriving back where you got o board of your river boat, the bus takes you to Bayahibe, where we started our excursion. To end the day like a local we make a stop at the local Colmado.

Our last stop is the local "supermarket" or in the evening "bar" called Colmado. Even in the smallest village you will at least find one colmado where people buy everything and have a cold beer in the evening.
