If you're keen on exploring local culture and looking to get past language barriers, an English-speaking local guide would be a fantastic asset—they’ll make your trip smoother and more meaningful. This tour is also a great fit for those on a tight budget. When it comes to private transport, taxis are a cheaper and efficient option, and the guide can handle all the arrangements for you. With this setup, you can visit three spots in Xi’an even with limited time and a modest budget.
Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel lobby at 8:00 AM or a time of your choice. Head to the Terracotta Army, a must-see attraction in Xi'an. Marvel at the thousands of life-sized soldiers and horses that were buried with the first Emperor of China.
Next, choose two more attractions to visit from options like the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall, Muslim Quarter, and Huaqing Palace. Customize your itinerary to suit your interests and make the most of your time in Xi'an.
We pick up customers from hotels within the 3rd ring road of Xi'an. Suburb area hotels or airport/high speed train station pick up will cause extra and can be paid in cash when the driver meet you. Operator will contact you ahead and can arrange airport/train pick up.
Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Drive direct to Lintong district, about an hour east of Xi’an, to visit the warriors at the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Customize your schedule for the day based on where you want to go: choose two more attractions in downtown Xi’an to visit afterward, and drive there without any unnecessary detours or stops at places you aren’t interested in.
The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is located in the Da Ci'en Temple(Great Mercy Temple). It is a pagoda with a history of more than 1,300 years. This was once the place where the famous Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang(Tripitaka) translated Buddhist scriptures, and the spread of Buddhism in China also began here.
Xi'an city wall is the only intact city wall kept in China and is now the landmark of Xi'an. With the length of 13.74 kilometers, the wall is in a rectangular shape in a perfect defense system. By ascending the wall, you can see the moat, the arrow tower and the watch towers and the water drainage system.
Most Muslims came to Xi'an along the Silk Road in Tang Dynasty (600-900AD). They studied, worked and intermarried with the local people and settled here until now. In this area, you will see a great deal of foreign spices, many Muslim restaurants and some souvenirs as well.
This palace has always been the imperial Winter Palace for over 3000 years because it has natural hot springs. There are still five bathing pools from the Tang Dynasty preserved here. Here you can see the architecture of the Tang Dynasty, beautiful bonsai, plants and ponds and landscape compositions. You can also see the bullet holes from the Double - Twelve Incident in 1936 in China's modern history.
