    Yanar Dag is a natural gas fire that blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan (a country which itself is known as "the Land of Fire"). Flames jet into the air 3 meters (9.8 ft) from a thin, porous sandstone layer.

The population of Khinaluq speaks their own language which is Ketch ("Kətiş" in Azerbaijani). Khinaluq village locates in the middle of the Greater Caucasus mountains that divide Russia and the South Caucasus. While driving to Khunaliq you will be mesmerized by the view of the Caucasus Mountains.
