This private tour has been designed to discover three very different facets of Chile in a single day. It begins by the Pacific Ocean, exploring Pablo Neruda’s personal and creative universe at his Black Isle House Museum. Continue in Pomaire, a town with a pottery tradition where you will have time to enjoy Chilean gastronomy and tour workshops and local artisan shops. In the afternoon, delve into the wine culture of the Maipo Valley with a tour and tasting at the historic Undurraga Vineyard.
Unlike large group tours, you will travel by private transportation accompanied by a bilingual guide, with time to enjoy each place at a relaxed pace. Entrance fees to Pablo Neruda’s Casa Museo and the tasting tour at Viña Undurraga are included, creating a carefully organized experience that combines literature, local traditions, gastronomy and Chilean wines.
We will inform the pick-up time during the day before the tour, before 9:00 PM. If your hotel is outside our pickup area, we will propose a meeting point as close to your location as possible.
Visit Pablo Neruda’s Casa Museo in Isla Negra, one of the poet’s most emblematic residences and the place where he chose to live facing the Pacific Ocean. Tour their rooms and discover their unique collections of bow masks, nautical objects, maps and souvenirs gathered during their travels. Discover the spaces that inspired part of his work and enjoy the sea views that made Isla Negra such a special place for Neruda. In the gardens are also the tombs of Pablo Neruda and Matilda Urrutia. Entrance to the House Museum included.
Travel from Santiago to the coast on Route 78, crossing the rural landscapes of Chile’s central valley. Along the way, watch the urban environment give way to fields, vineyards and gentle hills as we approach the Pacific Ocean and Black Island.
Discover Pomaire, a traditional Chilean town renowned for its gastronomy and centuries-old pottery tradition. Upon arrival, you will have time to have lunch on your own in one of its restaurants and taste typical dishes of Chilean cuisine. Afterwards, walk its streets and visit workshops and small shops of local artisans, where you can meet and buy the characteristic ceramic pieces in greda that have given fame to the town. Lunch not included.
End the day at Viña Undurraga, one of the historic vineyards of the Maipo Valley. Enjoy a guided tour of its gardens, vineyards and wineries as you learn about part of the history of the vineyard and the process of making Chilean wine. The experience culminates with a tasting of a selection of wines, a relaxed closure to a day that combines literature, local traditions and Chilean wine culture. Tour and tasting included.
