We will visit Klis fortress the defender of Croatian Christian identity and the borderline of two great medieval empires, Venetian and Ottoman Turkish. This strategical spot gives you brilliant viewpoints on Split, Brac and Hvar islands, Adriatic sea and nearby mountains and valleys. we will be hosted by ''uskok'' an medieval fighter who will explain defensive strategies and medieval weapons by Venetian and ottoman Turkish side. If you are Game of Thrones fan our guide will share stories about Daenerys and Meereen details that were filmed at the fortress. After Klis fortress we will descend into the fields below Klis village- in beautiful Olive garden. Surrounded by trees and nature you will learn all about our cuisine, its ingredients, herbs and spices while enjoying traditional delicacies such as delicious Croatian wines, meat and seafood specialties flavoured with the olive oil made from olive trees that surround you. Away from the city rush you will get the best authentic historical and gastro experience that Split inland can offer. Your Olive garden journey ends with a full stomach, smile on your face a nice knowledge about local cuisine and drive back to Split.
