Bird Island is a unique park and mini zoo on the Island of Madeira that is set in a charming green garden. Located in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, more precisely in Campanário, this is the home of several exotic birds and macaws that bring the park to life with their beauty and grace.
Occupying an area of 7000 m², Bird Island is a great place for entertainment and family time on the Island of Madeira. It takes at least 90 minutes to visit this landscaped area which hosts 200 species of birds. Among the many species, Bird Island is home to cranes, ibis, cockatoos, parrots and macaws. At the end of your tour, you can relax in the establishment's café and contemplate the unique landscape over the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic.
