What to expect
The route starts on the lush, western slope of Table Mountain in the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. It follows a shaded ravine, covered in indigenous forest and includes a few wooden ladders. After reaching the summit, there is still a steady climb through pristine fynbos to the highest point on the mountain, Maclear’s Beacon. From there it traverses the whole flat tabletop to the cableway station with superb views of the city, Lion’s head and Table Bay.Hike Duration: About 4 and a half hours
