You climb into the stunning red rocks of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, walk alongside real dinosaur tracks at Dinosaur Ridge, and enjoy foothill views as you ride into Golden. Here is a gravel parking lot across the street from the storage facility where the bikes are located. If you're taking public transport you can also take the W Line Jeffco from Union Station to the Jefferson County Government Center where the line ends and walk about 15 minutes south of there.

What to expect

Begin your adventure in Morrison, then climb into the stunning red formations of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, where you'll enjoy sweeping views and a chance to explore this iconic music venue.

From there, ride east to Dinosaur Ridge, stopping to walk along real fossilized dinosaur tracks — a glimpse into Colorado’s prehistoric past.

Next, follow quiet foothill roads north along the Hogback, gradually climbing through the Lakota Hills neighborhood with great views, before connecting to a section of Lookout Mountain Road.

The final stretch descends into Golden, where a relaxing ride along the Clear Creek Trail leads past the Coors Brewery and into downtown, wrapping up a ride full of natural beauty, history, and local charm.
