Join us for a narrated scenic drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and stop to take pictures!
Explore the beauty of Marin County, Mount Tamalpais, and the Giant Coastal Redwoods at Muir Woods! Visit Sausalito's Art Galleries, and souvenir shops, and eat in one of the many seafood restaurants! Then, we will bring you to Alcatraz landing before 6:30 pm.
Experience the different moods of Alcatraz during the evening. Experience a cell door demonstration and hear compelling stories about the island’s history and residents. Evening talks by island expert historians are offered on a variety of topics. It is a unique program limited to just a few hundred visitors per evening that includes special programs, tours, and activities not offered during the day.

    Ride from your hotels downtown or FIsherman's Wharf to the Northern Side of the Golden Gate Bridge

  • Palace of Fine Arts Theatre (Pass by)

    Go through the city and listen to the narrated tour. From Union Square to the Wharf to the Bridge. On your way, you will pass by The Palace of Fine Arts which was built for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco in 1915 to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, but it was widely seen in the city as an opportunity to showcase its recovery from the 1906 earthquake.

    Drive through the oldest part of the city, the Presidio. See the new Presidio Highway, the Tunnel Top Gardens, and the Crissy Field, Air Force base during WWII.

    Golden Gate Bridge

    Cross the most famous Bridge on Earth and enjoy stunning views of the Pacific, the Marin Headlands on your left, and the SF Bay on your right. It was opened in 1937 and is painted orange-red to be more visible in the fog. Make a short stop at the Vista Point on the Northern side and take pictures of the Bridge, the bay, Fort Baker, and downtown SF. See The Lone Sailor, a bronze sculpture, tribute to all who have served or are currently serving in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine.

    Muir Woods National Monument

    You will spend one hour and twenty minutes in the Muir Woods, US National Monument. Just 12 miles North of the city, see the tallest trees in the world, the Coastal Sequoias. Millions of years ago, sequoia trees grew throughout North America. Today, the Sequoias can be found only along the coast of California and Oregon. By the beginning of the 20th century, most of them were destroyed by fires and humans. One valley named Redwood Canyon remained uncut, mainly due to its relative inaccessibility. You will see majestic trees, you may meet dears, turkeys, chipmunks, and squirrels. You will enjoy the forest air and the stunning beauty of the tallest living objects on Earth.

    After Sausalito, we will bring you to Alcatraz Landing on Pier 33. After visiting Muir Woods & Sausalito, we will bring you to Alcatraz landing at around 6.30 PM, so you can catch the boat departing at 7.05 PM. Experience the many moods of Alcatraz Island with an evening visit. Experience a cell door demonstration, and hear compelling stories about the Island’s history and residents. Evening talks by Island expert historians are offered on a variety of topics. It is a unique program limited to just a few hundred visitors per evening that includes special programs, tours and activities not offered during the day. The boats from Alcatraz depart at 7:55 PM, 8:40 PM, and 9:25 PM ALCATRAZ TICKETS BOOKED AT LAST MINUTE ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
