PROGRAM : Minimum : 2 Pax
8:00a.m : Pick you up at Hotel in Hoi An
Our first stop is Thanh Ha Pottery Village where we will visit a family that has been living in the same house for 3 generations and learn how to make pottery with them.
After crossing a typical Vietnamese rural bridge, which has stunning views of the surrounding areas, our next stop is at another family business where they specialize in making sleeping mats from reeds. Sleeping mats were a household essential for every Vietnamese family, especially during 20th century. Sadly, there are not many mat makers left like these any longer, as people are switching to other kinds of business to enable them to earn a better living. Whilst we are here, you can challenge yourself and try making one
see how they make rice paper and noodles. then continue on to another village where the amazingly talented and skilful local people make wooden fishing boats and wood and lacquer carvings.
